Washington Avenue Bridge - Eric Huff

we want to keep each other safe. you might ask me what’s the vibe? what will you wear? but I’m distracted. hold the image of Gotye in your mind for just a moment and then look up at Riverside Plaza. there’s the part you know. there’s the part where we meet for the first time and you tell me I looked stressed. how can I send you a GIF through an encrypted messaging app? why did you tell me your name? there’s going to be an electric scooter takeover of downtown Minneapolis later tonight. there are beautiful people getting dressed up to go to the silent disco at Acadia on Cedar Ave. I don’t want to admit this but every time I drive across the Washington Avenue Bridge, I see Berryman for just a moment, and I try to listen for the second the water breaks but nothing ever comes.
