SMALL - Alexa Grospe
come back
into my arms;
we get wrapped up in
comedy, i pull you into
conversation, i fail
that conversation
small talk, taken like
small sips, small cup
in my hands,
i can throw like a kid, still,
we sip
like we take champagne,
and i’ve never tasted champagne, but
we waste money
on all the drinks
we refused to drink
and we can’t afford
because we are everything
but small talk, tiny
adults,
small kids,
small sips, still,
hurling up
in your
toilet bowl,
blabbering, still,
you laugh as we puke up that
small conversation
onto
each other’s shirts.
